New York New York (10)

This is Penny's great postcard, showing one of those scary Manhattan stevedores.   He's copied on to acetate sheet and overlaid on a printed card.   I absolutely love the weeny poppers holding the two elements of the card together!

And it generously came with a large New York postcard donated by Penny's daughter who had a school trip there, lucky girl!

Thank you Penny!

I'm so glad you liked the card Chrissie as I had fun making it ! First I was going to use the well known image of the workers on the Empire state building having their lunch sittting on a girder high up with the skyline behind but I found this one & liked it better. What would Health & Safety say now ... no harnesses or saftey gear at all - brave men. I had to look up the word Stevendore which I hadn't known so thanks !

Yet another angle on the theme - what next, only one more to go.
Clever Penny.

I like the use of graphic imagery here Penny but if I was your daughter there is no way I'd have given up that wonderful card! Lucky you. It made it all work perfectly.

Fantastic! New York's my last card, so there's a lot to live up to!

But who's on for doing 'The Twelfth Card'??

Can you imagine working at that height with no safety gear? Aaarrgghh!!

Great card from Penny, I really like the layering. I haven't been successful with printing onto acetate so I'll be emailing Penny for details!
