WATER 6

This wonderful stitched card arrived yesterday from Jill. It's based on a photo (below) Jill took on the Isle of Wight last summer and the colours are super.  I didn't post it yesterday as we were so busy (more on my blog) and hoped today would give better light, but it's been pouring rain steadily since early morning so I've done the best I can - artificial light doesn't help at all with these colours.

It's really lovely, Jill.  Thank you so much.

Ooh, lovely -- you've really painted with the threads and fibres, Jill.

When I saw the first photo I immediately thought of Jill's photo which I had tried to interpret last summer using yarns and as I scrolled down I found it was in fact Jill's photo and she has interpreted it beautifully - I didn't succeed when I tried! It's lovely and really has a watery feel to it.

What a beautiful interpretation of your theme. Such textures and colours!

Blogger is playing up today with regard to leaving comments. I seem to be having to try at least twice..... sigh..........

Can't get back into the site to add that I think the second photo should be the other way up! Blogger is being really annoying today.

Third attempt at commenting....
I was on the Isle of Wight last weekend and the sea looked as beautiful as this piece of work.
