This one is wonderful. I think week 4 may be shaping up to be a stand-out week. I'd definitely be on to make that last card -- it would complete the sequence really nicely. I will completely understand if people are 'all postcarded out', though. I myself have been in the grip of a kind of postcard madness and I have actually finished all my cards... this may well prove to be a really silly thing to have done because now I'm on tenterhooks to see if anyone else has had a similar idea to any of mine -- and I've just seen Lesley's amazing New York card which does have an 'element' that's similar to mine, whilst being brilliantly original (and different to mine). That's just the price I'm going to have to pay for rushing ahead.
This postcard is even more brilliant close-up - so many wonderful details and such a clever quote to illustrate the rustiness. Fantastic!
I have had this piece of cloth with the wire stitched on, wet, in a plastic bag since the challenge began, I was hoping it would go rusty and leave a mark on the cloth, but no sign of rust! It was an idea that leapt out at me right away, however that is not the case with all of topics!
Brilliant card, Jill. I've been wondering if we should make a last card, too - it would make a nice round dozen wouldn't it? I've not made all mine in advance as I've already been pipped to the post with a previous idea - and I haven't a clue yet on one or two themes still to come!
Love it. I'm rust next. Great idea to do a thirteenth card for our own theme - I'll get my thinking cap on !
Brilliant postcard with a great rusty effect achieved. Love the stitching round the outside. Funnily enough I'd been thinking about making a postcard for our own topic - as it is clearly a theme close to our hearts. I'm up for that.
Another super original idea!
I love the idea of rusty stitching Jill. Wonder why it did not rust though? Have never heard the Neil Young song so I've learned something new yet again. As for the idea of making a postcard to our own theme... shoot that Sue Brown please
