COAST/SEASIDE NUMBER 3

Postman has just been with this lovely card from Jill - isn't it beautiful?  Those little sandals left on the beach are so evocative of childhood days at the beach and I love the poem on the back.  You can't see it very well in the photo but there is some silvery stuff on the waves which really makes them come alive.  Thank you so much Jill - your artwork is always good but this is a treasure.

Glad it arrived safely, I forgot to take a picture before posting.

This is such a harkback to childhood summers - Clark's sandals, brown with crepe soles (or red if you were very lucky) were obligatory along with bubbly swim suits at the seaside. It's so pretty, Jill, and I'm sure you love it Jane, I do.

That is really beautiful!

Oh yes, I had those shoes! Great perspective achieved with this postcard - the grasses draw you in to the bather beyond. Brilliant artwork, and I love those gorgeous seaside colours.

Very evocative - we were a hardly lot back then going in the freezing sea ! Truly beautiful.

I was hoping to see one of Jill's lovely illustrations somewhere in amongst the cards she produces for this project and here we have it, a beauty!

Cathy's right. To see one of Jill's illustrations is a treat. To own one is even better. Lucky you Jane!
